Disclosure

In order to continue to use the CEES designation, the applicant must complete the recertification process before the expiration of the current certification. (Certification lasts 5 years.) Should the process not be completed by the end of the certification period, the applicant must attend days 1-5 of the Ergonomic Evaluation Certification Program and submit a complete certification application package including a list of 20 completed evaluations (do not send full reports until asked).

Re-Certification Process

To be eligible for re-certification the applicant must:

1. Attend either days 2-5 of the 5 day Ergonomic Evaluation Certification Program (at the rate of $150.00 per day) or attend the 2 1/2 day WorkSafe Ergonomic Solutions course at $650.*

* To fulfill this requirement for recertification one of these courses must be complete no more than 18 months before the expiration of the applicants certification.

2. Submit a complete application packet to include:

    A. The re-certification application form

    B. A Professional Experience Form

    C. A Statement of Professional Practice

    D. A non-refundable fee of US $200.00

    E. Two copies of two ergonomic evaluation reports that reflect current practice. It is recommended that these evaluations be performed after completion of the required refresher course.

3. Distribute the three (3) Professional Reference forms to individuals who have requested ergonomic evaluation services from you. Ask these individuals to complete the form and to submit it directly to the office. Do not include the forms with your application package.

Please use the application check list included in your package. After dating and signing the application check list, submit it with the application package.

Processing of Application

The applicant will be notified within 12 weeks of submission of completed application package and the reports as to whether the applicants work has been accepted. Incomplete application packs will not be processed. If the applicants work is not accepted for re-certification he/she will have 60 days from the date of notification to submit two copies of a new report which addresses the issues outlined in the critique.

Should the applicants resubmitted work not be accepted for certification the applicant must repeat the certification program in its entirety.

Special Exceptions

Questions about your eligibility for re-certification, request for deadline extensions and questions about report critiques must be submitted in writing to the Certification Committee. The Certification Committee meets quarterly and will respond to your questions or requests in writing. Please send your correspondence to the following address:
