The Matheson EPIC Lift Capacity test is a six-stage progressive test of lift capacity developed by Leonard Matheson, PhD, specifically to evaluate persons with medical impairments. An ongoing program to develop and provide normative data to set treatment goals and identify full effort backs the EPIC Lift Capacity test. There are more than 1,000 EPIC Lift Capacity certified evaluators in North America, Asia, Australia, and Europe. The EPIC Lift Capacity is the only test of lift capacity to be awarded a United States Patent (#5,848,594) and is widely accepted in legal and research settings.

Learn to administer the EPIC Lift Capacity Test and become an ELC Certified Evaluator or Technician through self-study! With the ELC Certification Kit and a PC, you can learn the ELC procedures at your own pace in the comfort of your home or office. If you are already certified, the ELC Certification Kit provides you with a refresher course, including more than two hours of lecture from Dr. Leonard Matheson, ELC developer. Simulates lifting and loading tasks. Two adjustable Oak Formica shelves "lock" into side mounted support rails. Upper shelf adjusts from 53" to 59" high. Lower shelf 28" to 34" high. Each shelf has 100 lb. weight capacity. 30" x 18" x 78".

Lift test box is made of rugged plywood to withstand loads to 90 pounds. The box and protocol have been modified to increase both Safety and Validity while complying with the intent of the American with Disability Act.
