Where can I find the info on how to bill for an FCE in IL? Someone told me that the maximum is a 5-hour FCE and we do NOT get paid/ reimbursed for any paperwork time. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

FCE billing

I currently perform FCE's in IL and we include documentation time as part of our billing.  I have yet to charge for more than 5 hours, but we always get reimbursed at the fee schedule rates.  Hope this helps.

FCE billing for Illinois

Hello,

Our clinical adviser said :

I am from Indiana-but see some referrals from Illinois and Kentucky. My company calculates our billing on Physical Performance Test units (CPT Code) and we charge 4 hours for the FCE-that works out to be about $1,100. We keep our fee a "standard" of 4 hrs. for quoting consistency, and this time does not include documentation time. Hope this helps.

Regards,

Jenn
