I have a colleague who is looking for any numbers available for "functional" walking abilities - be it speed, distance, time between breaks, etc. I figured she could use MTM data, but I don't have it readily available at the moment. She is attempting to determine if an injured person should be provided with some sort of powered wheelchair, due to his diminished walking ability - but needs to "prove" that his walking ability is diminished, and would love some data to support her position.

If someone has MTM numbers for walking (at any distance, speed, etc, to meet the IS), could you post them?

If someone has a better suggestion than using MTM's for this, I'd appreciate hearing about that too!
