I ahve a request from a referral source it states- Please assess ATW at her regular work pattern. Does anyone know what ATW stands for?
Hi,
I think JonHarrison's advice is good. It never hurts to go back to your referral source if you ever have any questions. Better safe than sorry.

It could stand for "Ability To Work" but if I were you I would simply ask the referral source what it means. It is probably something you are already familiar with just in a different term.
Hello,
Just need some clarification - Is "ATW" describing the person in some way?? Because you wrote
Please assess ATW at her regular work pattern
Or is this a type of evaluation or something??
Just need some more information so we know which direction to head in when we try to figure out that abbreviation.
Thank you,
Jenn
A perfect example of the need to get clear referral questions: what is meant by "at her normal work pattern'? Is that code for "can she do her usual and customary job", "can she maintain the pace required by her usual and customary job?" or something else.
Keep in mind that if this is a return to work, same job, same employer you should be sensitive to this being a potential ADA case.
