I have been receiving more FCA referrals from physicians so they can fill out disability forms (short term, long term and SSI), however insurances do not pay for them. Is there solution to this problem that anyone else has found? Thank you! Kim
If there is a solution it is to trace the client's case back to a payment source. An equally important and informative step is to determine what type of disability case it is: long-term private, social security or long-term state.
Long-term private will definitely have a payment source; this can be big-dollar cases.
Social Security does have a payment source but the fee may not be worth doing the eval.
Long-term state is probably paid by the state system.
In each of these three types of cases there is a particular form that has to be completed. Investigate your state's system for the form used and the reimbursement system.
