I know this is probably a very basic concept, but I have a question with respect to the Functional Pain Scale and termination of testing.
It was my understanding at the course that if the scale is a reported '7' then the testing should be stopped in order to re-assess the scale and to determine if that is the actual subjective number. If the client continues to rate a '7' then testing was to be terminated.
My question is, is there a point on the scale at which the testing is terminated if:
A) subjective and objective match and
B) subjective and objective do not match ie. their report is greater than their observed function and presentation.
Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks
