CLIMBING
Defined by the Revised Handbook for Analyzing Jobs as ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like, using feet and legs or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. In Part A of "Selected Characteristics of Occupations Defined in the Revised Dictionary of Occupational Titles", the rating for the Climbing component appears second in the first Physical Demand column under the vertical heading C1.P.O.
