ACCOMMODATION
Defined by the Revised Handbook for Analyzing Jobs as adjustment of lens of eye to bring an object into sharp focus. This factor is required when doing near point work at varying distances from the eye. In Part A of "Selected Characteristics of Occupations Defined in the Revised Dictionary of Occupational Titles", the rating for the Accommodation component appears eight in the second set of Physical Demand ratings under the vertical heading Ac.P.O.
